TAYLORSVILLE, Utah — Authorities say a teenage girl died following an SUV crash in the Salt Lake City suburb of Taylorsville.
KSL-TV reports the Unified Police Department received multiple calls reporting an SUV driving recklessly Monday night.
Police say officers approached the SUV at a parking garage shortly after midnight but the vehicle fled. Police did not give chase.
Police say the SUV collided with another car about an hour later on Tuesday morning.
Officers found the teenager dead and three other people inside the SUV were taken to a hospital. Police have not released the teen’s name.
Police say the 18-year-old SUV driver was not injured and ran from the crash scene. The driver was arrested at nearby gold course and taken to jail.
