WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah (ABC4 News) – A wanted fugitive was arrested after a chase through two cities and containment in West Valley City Friday night.
Lt. Brian Lohrke, Unified Police Department, said around 11:15 p.m. the Taylorsville Street Crimes detectives received information from Adult Probation and Parole that fugitive Khamsaen Phetinta, 41, was in possession of a stolen Honda and possibly at an apartment in Taylorsville.
Detectives located the stolen vehicle at the apartment and a surveillance was started. When the vehicle left, mobile surveillance was conducted with helicopters from the Department of Public Safety. Phetinta abandoned the car in a driveway at 5026 W. Odell Drive and fled on foot.
A containment was setup and a search of the area enabled officers to find Phetinta who was hiding several houses down from where he left the car.
